TEMPUS FUGIT

A year passing by has everything to do with the concept of time and how we perceive it. Time is a semiotic arrangement to create order and peace in the system of life. The enchanting Astronomical Clock, with all its rich colors, does represent more than time. It combines time with the light of the universe, the revolution of the moon and the speed of sunlight. As a part of the expression of the septem artes liberales, astrology, it also shows.  us the zodiac signs. On both sides of the Astronomical Clock, two statues are placed, the most striking one is the skeletonsculpture: Death. Holding a sand hourglass as a symbol of the measurement of passing time, it reminds us of the transience of life. The rest of the clock shows us life from a more vivid perspective: the positions of the circular discs, representing the vibrancy of the universe. Although time and clocks are amongst the most normalized subjects and objects in daily life, this particular clock captures the deeper significance of the concept of life.

Looking back on some memorable testimonials we received from our clients this year.

” Started a new chapter in my life this year with the help of Brinkman Fine Real Estate. Thanks to Anne Paul and his team, I was able to secure my dream home. Action when action was needed and patience when patience was needed. Thank you! ” – J. Kymmell

“The unique approach of Brinkman Fine Real Estate was a great experience for me. Anne Paul Brinkman literally saw my centuries-old canal house through different eyes. He and his team presented the property in all its authenticity, with a great deal of knowledge of history and feeling for details. And thus to inspire interested buyers. His enthusiasm is contagious, whilst his calmness gives a lot of confidence. The preparations took time, the end result was amazingly quick!” – S. van Beveren

“Brinkman is not a standard estate agent, even for us as buyers of one of his projects, nothing was too much asked for. During the process, Anne Paul thought along with us about logistics and even furnishings. He also knew the neighborhood, and had already thought about many things in depth. He is clearly someone with a lot of love for his projects, and he also sees the potential. Special projects suit him best.” – J. Hofland
